Song Number 1 - Better Side

yes...i know, i have turned into one of these 'i write music so please listen and care' types, but this is more of a blog of my progress so i can see it all in a timeline in front of me, so it's for my use more than anything *insert guffaw here*

so aye, if you don't know i have set myself a challenge, it's exactly the same as Josh's challenge to himself and it goes thusly - write a song a month for a year and at the end have a collection of completed songs.

i've decided that this is a good idea because it gives me a chance to do something other than work, now, work is good, i like it, but i need something else to keep me busy and this is the hobby i choose.

so far i have written one full song and recorded most of the guitar parts and hopefully by the end of the week I'll have done all the recording (except vocals, which we will come to in a minute) and i'll be tweaking it as the months go by.

the vocal trouble is one which is causing most grief, first off - i live in a busy flat and so don't want to be wailing my lungs out for all and sundry and secondly i don't have a mic or any money to get one til i have all my debts gone. but as soon as those obstacles are overcome it'll be time to see if i can actually sing...fingers crossed.

i thought about posting a little clip of the song...but until i figure out how to do so i shall leave you with the lyrics. i think the album may become a concept album cuz i have a whole story in my mind that i want to explore but it may end up just being a collection of unmatching songs...we'll see.
